Australia

Since the spring of 2001, Pro Ventum has been investigating the planning and development of windfarm projects in Australia.

The southern and western coasts of Australia are particularly suitable for the production of wind energy. The average wind speed is between 7 and 8.5 m/s producing the necessary energy output for an economical operation of a project.

Due to the recent change in government, Australia's business environment for renewable energy projects has vastly improved.

The “Mt. Gellibrand” windfarm in Victoria received planning approval in 2006. Further details about the project are available on the project homepage.
